Two years ago in the summer I took a video editing class at RISD. It was a lot of fun. I edited three very short videos. Two that I made in a group and one that I filmed myself and everything.
The first was a short montage:
Music: Don't Stop Me Now by The Queen
The second was a mini documentary ^^ with a British accent and everything!
All documentaries need a British accent, it's a rule of life xD.
Alternate Energy Sources: the Documentary
voice over & interviewer- me!!
and the third was my final project.
NYC is Under Pressure
Music: Under Pressure- by The Queen and David Bowie :)

I had to write a narration poem in class with a partner. My partner was Rachel, a friend of mine. She's really nice :3 Well what we basically had to do was tell a fairy tale from a different perspective/point-of-view. This poem is basically what i thought of right away when she gave us the assignment and i remembered this fairy tale (I'm not telling which it is, you can figure it out :) ). Ha ha ha. Then I just ranted to poor Rachel and then she added in some details as i frantically wrote it all down xD Today I read it to class, people were quite shocked ha ha ha. I'm starting to worry my teacher a bit, 'specially after I read Mary in class too. I feel sorry for Rachel though, now they think she's as messed up as I am. Sorry Rachel! :D Well anyways here's the poem! (BTW hope no one is insulted by this poem in anyway :3 )

I wrote a Petrarchan sonnet. Sonnets need to have 14 lines, and 10 syllables in each line, and they have to follow an iambic pentameter (rhythm pattern of stressed and unstressed syllables, U=unstressed, /=stressed, and iamb is U/, and anapest is UU/, an iambic pentameter consists of 5 iambs, U/U/U/U/U/) .
The rhyme scheme for a petrarchan sonnet is abba abba cdcdcd or cdecde. The petrachan sonnet (or italian sonnet) consists of an octave (group of 8 lines) and a sestet (group of 6 lines). The octave must either tell a small story, ask a question or pose a problem, then the sestet comments on the story, or answers the question or solves the problem.
The shakesperean sonnet (or english sonnet) has a rhyme scheme of abab cdcd efef gg and consists of 3 quatrains (group of 4 lines) and one ending couplet (group of 2 lines). The quatrains must each describe a different aspect of a subject and the couplet sums up the poem.
And that was your English Lesson for the day ;)

Well, anyways, these were the 6 poems I wrote. The two people are arguing about wheter cats or wolves are better. (<- an inside joke between my bff Jen and me. She's a wolf and I'm a cat) They were rather fun to write!
The clever kitten pounces
her prey is captured swiftly.
The fiercest creature.
The wise wolf awaits,
he listens patiently
for his prize to falter.
The wolf sweeps in for the kill.
He is the fiercest creature.
Soft fur, and bright eyes.
A graceful elegant form.
A beast of beauty.
The cunning shadow,
of the wolf in the full moon.
His sleek, fearsome
figure inspires awe in all.
He is the most beautiful.
A friendly feline
purrs comforting harmonies.
The kindest critter.
The wolf, he is a
loyal companion, he will
never leave a friend.
Faithful to the very end.
He is the kindest critter.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PS go visit my mom's blog! she made a video of my past birthday cakes and they're very cool. My grandma, Vovo Lene, made most of them and they are works of art in cake form!
The time of year when I get to be as lazy as I want!!! YAY!!But just because I haven't posted and I've been lazy doesn't mean I haven't drawn anything. Yes that would be a lie because I couldn't survive without drawing and that means that if I hadn't drawn anything I'd be dead ans thus not writing this. But just in case you don't believe me here's some drawings I did today in my brand new notebook!! (yay new notebook!!)
This is a drawing that I kinda based of a Hello Kitty pencil case my little sister Maya had.
I turned Hello Kitty into a girl and the little bears into little angel boys.
This is the pencil case.
Then I turned MY Usahana pencil case into a picture too.
Well anyways on the 9th (IN 2 DAYS!!) I'm going to Portugal!! Where I will be taking some art classes!! YAY! I'll try to post when I can but if I can I'll post all my stuff when I get back! :D
Also I changed the blog to make it more summery!! :)
I went to school took my last final exam. But enough of that! ITS SUMMER NOW! HUURRAH!! (sigh I only wish the weather was like summer... it's been raining for the past week eck xP )
Now I'm going to go take a bubble bath, and then I am going to R-E-L-A-X!
Anyways, that left me with two hours in the cafeteria to use as I wished. So what did I do with my spare time? I watched videos on my ipod and drew. Recently my friend Jen has gotten me re-addicted to Pokemon, which I don't know if it is a good thing or a bad thing. But being re-addicted as I am I decided to draw my own Pokemon. :) I think they came out kinda cute. :)
Since I had a lot of time on my hand I also wrote some stats for them.
Psychic Rawr, Dark Flames, Hypnosis, Telekinesis, Teleportation, Scratch Fire, Shadow Meow and more
Good Against: ALL!
Bad Against: NONE!
Evolves into: Nightneko
Stats: same as Darkoneko's but awesomer. I didn't have time to write them and I don't feel like doing them right now either. ;P
PS neko is cat in japanese and koneko is kitten
This one was sometime in April-May, it's a witch riding on her broom in the moonlight with her kitty, I was inspired after watching Kiki's Delivery Service for the, I don't know, umptheempth time? hehe. I think she looks cute but that could be just me... :)
The next one is the most recent drawing I've done, I finished it about 10 minutes ago! hehehe!
It's just a sketch with some characters of this really cool anime I've been watching called Pandora Hearts! You can watch it here. It's amazing I <3 href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Cnk0OMTt4k4/Sicnk617cAI/AAAAAAAAAis/eyptm1oCK28/s1600-h/pandorahearts001cropped.jpg">
Characters from left to right: Break, Emily(a lil dolly thingy on Break's shoulder),Sharon, Gil/Raven, Oz,and Alice
Break: They're a rather odd lil trio, now aren't they!?
Emily: ya ya!
Sharon: Why you're rather right Break. They're quite peculiar,
Gil: Who the heck are you calling weird?!?! You un-aging freaks!
Alice: Hey Oz! Can we go get some more meat now !?!
Oz: (humming a song) OK!
We got there about an hour and a half early so that we could "meet other fans"... My mom had posted on the Leonard Cohen Forum that she was coming with me and her sister, and that she would be wearing red shoes but she thought it was just a joke and nearly didn't wear them, but my aunt convinced her to do it, and she did. And sure enough a few minutes after we got there a lady came up to my mom and said "Do you post on the forum? Are you the one who said she was going to wear red shoes?" And so my mom and the lady started talking. The lady was from Ireland, and was a big fan, she even got her kids into liking Leonard Cohen! She had gone to his NYC concert (and had a picture of him and her at his hotel), and now she came to the Boston one, and she was planning to every concert in Ireland, one in the UK, and another in Lisbon (which my mom is thinking of going to), and one in Barcelona. In other words she's going to nearly every single one of his concerts. Yup, his fans are all pretty crazy! But they have good reason, he really is a great songwriter, and poet. I feel sorry for him though, 74 years old and he has to sing for 3 hours and put up with his insane fans lol, and I think there would be a riot if he was to get married because there are many lady fans who still haven't gotten to propose to him yet, hehehe.
Still, it was a very fun concert, and I enjoyed it and recommend you to go to one of his concerts! HURRAH FOR LEONARD ON A GREAT JOB!!
